Corruption in Officialdom

Shen Mochi, a high-ranking official sentenced to death for corruption, wakes from a dream to find himself back in 2007, the year he first entered politics and his fate took a decisive turn. Carrying every memory of his past-life downfall and the bitterest regret, he vows to take a completely different path. This time, he will no longer pursue a life of imperial luxury. Instead, he will mend the cracks in the system, repay the debt he owes his conscience, and protect those who once placed their trust in him. From anonymous internal reports at the county discipline inspection commission to the first trial run of a transparent public-bidding platform in the development zone; from an ecological blueprint for leading development in the west to high-level policy design at the heart of government, he uses the foresight of a “system diagnostician” to stay a step ahead at every turn. Political maneuvering is treacherous and unpredictable, confidantes are loyal and devoted, and family ties are tangled with love and hate. Watch Shen Mochi ride the winds of a new era, cleanse the corruption, and become a pillar of the nation as he follows this thorn-strewn road to redemption.
