Dreams of Mountains and Rivers: The Poet Immortal’s Return to Dust

The immortal poet Li Bai is banished to the modern world. A sip of wine makes him stronger, a poem helps him break through, and a trip to a tourist attraction gives him a cheat. Everyone goes wild with speculation: he must be a hidden master! [Synopsis] In the third year of the Tianbao era, Li Bai got drunk. When he awoke, he was lying on a barren mountain called Lingyun Mountain. He looked at the “iron box that sends voices a thousand miles” in his hand (a phone), and watched “iron horses” (cars) roar past, then fell into deep thought. “What age is this?” People thought he was crazy, a transmigrator, or an influencer putting on a show. Little did they know… One sip of wine sent his cultivation soaring! One poem left everyone stunned! One visit to an ancient site made the literary heritage resonate! People in the modern city went wild with their wild imaginings: Lin Wanqing, a talented Chinese literature major: “He must be a reclusive poet! I’ll prove it through academic research!” Su Ruoxi, heiress to a conglomerate: “I want this man!” Qin Mingyue, a beautiful criminal investigator: “He’s hiding something, but I have no proof…” Zhao Lingxi, an influencer with six million followers: “Girls! I’ve found the real Poet Immortal! Come watch the livestream!” A poetry blogger came over to expose him. Li Bai picked up his brush and finished a poem in thirty seconds: “Drunk, the world grows small; awake, the sun and moon roll on.” The blogger went pale, the livestream chat exploded, and the comments went wild. When the provincial culture and tourism bureau saw his poems, they immediately approved a special arrangement: “This man has real talent! If he places in the provincial competition, we’ll grant him residency on the spot!” Li Bai: “I just wanted a sip of wine and a poem. Stop imagining things!”
