The Story of Wumeng's Depths

Ma Qinghao, Wu Aicao, and Gun Changpu call themselves the “Three Plants of Wumeng.” They've achieved impressive results in farming, animal husbandry, and the integration of culture and tourism, becoming leaders in helping their village prosper. Embroiderers such as Gun Yueliang and Long Fengbi have turned the skills at their fingertips into a thriving economy, becoming renowned inheritors of the Miao embroidery intangible cultural heritage. Their products have made their way beyond the village, across the country, and around the world. Yet the path to developing these industries has been far from smooth. Finding an effective way to connect the gains of poverty alleviation with the rural revitalization strategy is a historic responsibility and a duty of the times for village officials like Xiao Baihe and Yang Guoyong. Under their leadership and with their help, Xuanya Village's primary, secondary, and tertiary industries have advanced together, the beautiful countryside has continued to improve, and the villagers' sense of happiness and fulfillment has steadily grown.
