Miss Zhou's Blind-Date Comedy: 108 Mortifying Moments

Zhou Tiaotiao, a 25-year-old kindergarten teacher, is threatened by her parents with “cutting off her blind-box allowance” and signs a “100-day matchmaking do-or-die pact.” From then on, the main plot of her life becomes: By day, she tells kindergarteners not to eat their boogers. By night, she gets sent flying by weirdos at matchmaking events: The state-owned enterprise guy brings a thermos of black sesame paste to the date and lectures her as he drinks: “Women need to fight aging after 25.” The mama’s boy uses “My mom says” as his catchphrase. He even has to send pictures of his milk tea to his mother for “approval.” One guy even mistakes her for his “long-lost elementary school classmate” and hugs her while crying about his ex for half an hour... On one side, there’s the kindergarten director threatening to “dock your performance review until you’re drinking water from the northwest wind.” On the other, there’s her great-aunt pressuring her to marry with the curse: “After 25, all you can do is pick over the leftovers.” With one hand, Zhou Tiaotiao pinches a kid’s booger; with the other, she roasts the weird logic of her dates. Her motto: “You can embarrass yourself, but never lose your nerve.” After 108 blind dates, she goes from “trying to ruin the date” to “giving up and going nuts”: showing up in pajamas, making kids’ pee and poop the topic of conversation, and opening with, “Do you know how to brew goji berries in a thermos?” After all, Zhou Tiaotiao’s life motto is: The date can flop, but I have to win the verbal sparring; you can pressure me to marry, but settling is not an option! As for whether she’ll find someone? Not important. What matters is that after 108 public humiliations, she shuts her relatives up about marriage first!”}
