Dust-Stained, Late-Year Longing

“I never wanted to be stained by the world, but the world stained me all the same.” The Shen family appears calm on the surface, but undercurrents churn beneath. Everyone in the Shen family tears away their last shred of decency and tramples on the last of their dignity for the sake of their own selfish desires. Because her family is poor, Su Mowan is traded by her father for two sacks of grain. From that moment on, the instant an innocent young woman unwittingly steps into the Shen household, she is met with endless darkness, schemes, manipulation, betrayal, and tangled love and hate... There is no doubt about it. This vast dye house that is the Shen family has stained not only countless fabrics, but countless hearts as well. From the moment Su Mowan steps into the Shen household, she is caught up with everyone else in the struggle inside this great dye house. Though unwilling, she is swept along by the tide of reality. Though she never intended to, she becomes an unwitting accomplice in the Shen family’s tragedy. Fortunately, even in the Shen family’s bleak and wretched world, there was once genuine affection. But... In the end, it was all just a fleeting dream.
