Living Life with a Smile

In a modern metropolis aglow with neon, three old friends, Lin Zitong, Jiang Yining, and Su Qingran, go their separate ways, only to reunite after a “besties’ gathering call.” Each faces confusion and pressure in her career, relationships, and life goals, grappling with work-life imbalance, family expectations, and questions about who she wants to be. Lin Zitong is tormented by the pressure of a promotion and the shadows of past love; Jiang Yining struggles between art and reality while facing her family’s expectations and her own doubts about love; Su Qingran is caught between family traditions and personal dreams, and plagued by self-doubt. The three support one another and trade playful barbs as they search for their true selves amid life’s ups and downs, confronting the joys and sorrows of growing up and the choices life brings. In the end, they break free of their constraints and each transforms from self-doubt to self-fulfillment, while their friendship shines ever brighter amid the city’s shifting lights and shadows.
