She livestreamed her commendation certificates to refute the smears, set up her own studio to stand up to the investors, and visited a fire station to prepare for her role as a firefighter in Against the Current. For her role as a policewoman in Tempered by Fire, she went on patrol with real officers.

In the end, she won the Golden Horse Award for Best Actress for Against the Current. backstage at the awards ceremony, Lu Shiyan handed her a sunflower. “Ever since the day you protected the contestants, I've wanted to stand at the very top with you.” Su Qingyuan smiled. “All right. Let's make meaningful films together from now on.”
