After Winning the Lottery, I Became a Travel Influencer

Workaholic Jiang Wan ducked into a lottery shop to shelter from a torrential downpour. On a whim, she bought a ticket and won 100 million yuan.

Her medical checkup turned up a long list of health problems, so she quit her job without hesitation and focused on getting well. She took Chinese medicine, did yoga, and kept up with her skincare every day.

Once her health improved, she had no desire to go back to work. A video of an RV caught her eye, and on impulse she bought one she could drive with a standard license, setting off on a road trip around China.

Driving alone was too lonely, so she started livestreaming her travels. Wearing smart camera glasses, she captured her everyday life as it really was.

She unexpectedly gained a golden finger, and her livestreams were so natural and soothing that the comments flooded with, “Big sister’s life looks amazing!”

While others squeezed onto the subway and worked overtime, she sipped coffee by Erhai Lake. While others stayed up all night revising PowerPoint slides, she climbed a snow-covered mountain in western Sichuan to watch the sunrise.

From Beijing’s old alleyways to the shores of Qinghai Lake, from Gulangyu Island in Xiamen to Chongqing’s mountain streets, her livestream became the internet’s favorite place to unwind.

Variety show offers poured in, the entertainment industry clamored to make her the “anti-overwork ambassador,” and her ex-husband regretted everything.

Now she’s preparing to drive across Xinjiang. From here on, the road ahead will only make her freer.
