Sherlock: 34 Inches on Baker Street

Read one chapter and you’ll laugh yourself to death, literally. Just kidding, haha. Hey, everyone, I’ve dared to write a Sherlock Holmes fanfic. I’ve been following the series lately, and after finishing it, I was left wanting more. On the morning of October 3, 1895, on Baker Street in London, an AirPod rolled into a coal scuttle. It began playing a strange recording: Watson’s last words, though he had yet to write them down. Stranger still, the recording was full of eerie laughter, as if it concealed some unknown secret. Seventy-two hours later, St. Bartholomew’s Hospital issued a bizarre death certificate: the victim’s mouth was torn at the corners, his lungs shattered from laughter, and the cause of death was listed as “died laughing”! The bizarre case shocked London at once. Meanwhile, the street papers began serializing a mysterious novel titled The Psychological Anatomist of Baker Street. It accurately predicted the next victim’s name and pose, even his waist measurement: 34 inches, no less, or Holmes wouldn’t accept it. The novel’s predictions seemed like a death curse, sending chills down everyone’s spine. The fog over London grew thicker and thicker, as if time itself were running backward. And in the mysterious recording, only one final, eerie prompt remained: “Please laugh responsibly.” Holmes and Watson’s investigation begins. They must uncover the truth behind the laughter and stop more tragedies from happening. But with every chapter, you’ll find yourself bursting into laughter, while lurking behind that laughter is a deadly danger…
