Who Rules the World?

Set on an imagined ancient continent where nations are constantly at war and power changes hands without end, the story follows Li Li, a low-ranking soldier who gets swept into a conspiracy by a twist of fate. Along the way, he meets Cheng Qi, a noble in exile; Hu Gang, a veteran; and Xiao Dou, a young servant. The four grow through the fires of war, relying on their wit, humor, and teamwork to survive in troubled times. As the conflict escalates, they go from a “cannon-fodder squad” to becoming embroiled in high-level power struggles, ultimately facing off against the ruthless Wang Tu. Through a series of unconventional adventures, clever strategies, and the wisdom of ordinary people, they save their loved ones and protect their homes amid the chaos, while witnessing their own journey from lowly soldiers to heroes. Humor and satire run through the book, with one twist after another, before the story reaches a peaceful dawn and each character finds their place.
