My Former Teammates Laughed When They Heard I’d Been Scrapped

After an “accident” on a mission left me with amnesia, I was judged to be a write-off, even though I was the strongest fighter in the world of supernatural abilities.

My former comrades mocked me without mercy: “You used to be a king. Now you're not even as good as D-rank.”

I calmly started selling roasted sweet potatoes at a roadside stall. Business was booming, and life was carefree.

Then one day, several S-rank fugitives fleeing for their lives crashed into my oven.

The sweet potatoes gave off a charred aroma in the glowing coals. I looked down at my scalded hand, and a memory suddenly came rushing back:

“So that mission was a betrayal you all planned together?”

When I looked up, I saw my former teammates hurrying over, their faces drained of color.
