When three-and-a-half-year-old Su Nuonuo wakes up, she finds herself a pitiful little girl nobody wants.

Her biological father is a "living corpse" paralyzed in bed, and the house is full of awful relatives watching them like hawks.

Just as they're about to be thrown out, Nuonuo waves her little hand. "Don't worry! My dad... he can open his eyes again today!"

The villagers laugh at her for dreaming, until...

Her paralyzed father's fingers really do twitch, and he can even advise her on farming and business!

With her inborn good fortune and a mysterious pocket dimension, Nuonuo grows vegetables that are huge and fresh, then cooks them into dishes so delicious their aroma carries for miles.

Their lives get better and better, and the relatives who once treated them terribly come begging to get on their good side.

Nuonuo stands guard in front of her father's bed, hands on her chubby hips. "Want to bully my dad? You'll have to get past my spatula first!"

No one knows that late each night, her "paralyzed" father slowly opens his eyes and tenderly kisses his daughter's forehead. "My precious girl, I pretended to be like this only to protect you for the rest of your life."
