Old Pages and New Flames

Meng Yanchen's world was once lit up by fireworks named "Xu Qin," only to be reduced to ashes when she turned and ran into someone else's arms. He is used to hiding every turbulent emotion beneath a pristine suit, playing the ever-composed heir to the Meng family as he struggles against the chains of family and self. Then Su Qingyuan appears: a book restorer as gentle and pure as an early spring drizzle. On his most miserable, rain-soaked night, she quietly slips into his tightly sealed world with an umbrella and a lamp.

She doesn't understand why he has no choice, but she sees the weariness hidden in his eyes. She stays out of his family's conflicts, yet is always there with a cup of warm tea when he needs her. From an accidental meeting in the library to unexpected encounters at work, Su Qingyuan is a glimmer of light slowly seeping into Meng Yanchen's long-chilled life. As old obsessions haunt him like ghosts and family pressure shadows his every step, Meng Yanchen begins to peel away his hard exterior and reach for that tender warmth. This time, can he seize the fireworks meant for him, rekindle their dying embers, and light up the world as it truly is?
