The Heiress of the Mystic Arts: Back from Her Trials, Courted by All

Synopsis

On her eighteenth birthday, Gu Xingyao used an heirloom copper coin to cast a fortune. The reading revealed: blood relatives are coming, her true identity will come to light, and her life is nearing its end.

That same day, a man claiming to be her biological older brother burst into the Lin family home where she was staying. With an aura as fearsome as a god of death, he took her back to his mysterious and powerful family. At the same time, she was inadvertently drawn into a bizarre murder case and forced into the orbit of Ji Beihe, the young head of the Ji family, who was rumored to be cold and aloof yet had repeatedly come to her aid.

From then on, her world was turned upside down.

The school’s top student dies mysteriously. A desperate housewife is pinned down by a ghost in the dead of night. A town haunted by fierce spirits has no way out. A murderous puppet. An evil ritual involving a ghost infant… One strange incident after another unfolds, and every clue seems to point back to her and the crescent-moon pendant she has worn around her neck since childhood, which she cannot remove.

As the mysteries unravel, sealed memories surge back. It turns out that she and Ji Beihe have been bound together in life and death for over a thousand years. She is the reincarnation of a fragment of the Nine Heavens Maiden’s soul, while he is an ancient Yinglong undergoing tribulation. In their previous lives, they sacrificed themselves for all living beings, scattering their souls. Reunited in this life, they must continue their unfinished love and gather their souls once more.

But the road ahead is long and arduous. Evil spirits lurk, conspiracies close in, and the curse that threatens her life follows her like a shadow. With her frail body and meager skill in fortune-telling, Gu Xingyao can only seek a chance of survival in dire straits and earn merit in times of danger, all to prolong this borrowed life, unravel the mysteries of her past life, and save the person before her.

When everything is finally settled, will she and Ji Beihe rekindle their unfinished love, or repeat the same mistakes and suffer another tragic parting?
