An Adaptation of Tales of the Dark River

The greatest assassin organization in the martial world is made up of the Su, Mu, and Xie families. It can kill members of the imperial family at court and wipe out powerful clans and sects beyond it, making it the most feared organization of assassins in the martial world. While carrying out a mission to assassinate the Second Master of the Tang Clan, the head of the Dark River family is struck by a deadly poison. The three families begin to stir, each intent on seizing the Sleeping Dragon Sword and becoming Dark River’s new head. Su Muyu, leader of Dark River’s Spider Shadow Corps, known as “Puppet,” protects the head alongside Mu Yumo, the Rabbit of the Twelve Earthly Branches, and the others. On their journey to find a cure, Su Muyu is obstructed by his former senior, Su Zhe, and his friend, Su Changhe. He also meets Bai Hehuai, a miraculous physician from Medicine King Valley. After a series of fierce battles, Su Changhe becomes the new head of Dark River, while Su Muyu takes over as head of the Su family. Through the “Other Shore Project,” they hope to change Dark River and create a new organization that lives in the light instead of the shadows, no longer a blade in anyone’s hand. To achieve this, they navigate the factions of the martial world and the imperial court, constantly searching for a new way forward...
