Reborn in the Body of an Abandoned Daughter: I Made a Fortune Farming to Support My Mother and Sister

[Historical Farming, Strong Female Lead, No Romance, Transmigration, No System or Golden Finger] Lin Weilan was known throughout Linchuan Town as a girl with a hard lot in life. Her father died young, and her mother had only two daughters, her younger sister and her. In her husband’s family, where sons were valued above daughters, the two girls became targets of resentment. Her grandmother blamed them for keeping the family from having a son, so she drove Lin Weilan, her mother, and her sister out of their ancestral home, then immediately sold sixteen-year-old Lin Weilan to Master Wang of the neighboring village as a concubine. On her wedding night, Lin Weilan clutched her slashed wedding dress and hurled herself into the icy moat. The instant the water closed over her head, Lin Wan, a woman from the modern world, transmigrated into her body. Lin Wan was an urban office worker earning three thousand yuan a month. She came from a farming family and had worked in the fields alongside her parents since childhood. She knew all about raising seedlings, fertilizing crops, and keeping the soil moist. Now in the original owner’s body, she looked at her mother, thin as a rake, her sobbing little sister, and their thatched hut with nothing in it, rolled up her sleeves, and got to work: digging channels to bring in water, improving the soil, growing out-of-season vegetables, raising plump fish in the rice paddies, and making pickles and candied fruit to sell in town... At first, the villagers laughed and called her a “crazy girl,” saying a mere girl could never amount to anything as a farmer. But in less than half a year, her fields were thriving, golden grain piled high on the threshing ground, and their shabby mud hut had become a grand home of blue bricks. Even wealthy merchants from town were scrambling to place orders with her. The unfortunate girl once driven from her home had become the admired Lady Lin of Linchuan Commandery. Her mother was kind, her sister obedient and sweet, and Lin Weilan herself used her farming skills to turn a life of hardship into one of wealth and comfort.
