Tales of the Haunted Fog City

In 2046, an endless night of dense fog blankets the city. Strange rules descend, and anyone who touches them dies. After losing everything, Xu Wei turns completely ruthless. He believes in the law of the jungle and awakens the ability to sense the uncanny, known as "Resonance." From then on, he sets out on an extremely self-serving path to survival.

In this apocalypse, where supplies are scarce and people are impossible to trust, he believes that stockpiling supplies and building an absolutely secure shelter are the foundations of survival. Arrogant and domineering, he schemes against others and seizes every resource: from raiding other people's supply depots to robbing official convoys in a bandit-on-bandit ambush; from annexing civilian shelters to turning an abandoned laboratory zone into his own fortress.

Relying on Resonance and his ever-advancing "Domain" ability, Xu Wei navigates between the Control Bureau, which seeks to cover up the truth; the predatory Shadow Pavilion; and the Mist Gatherers, who struggle to survive. He uses supplies as bargaining chips and shelters as his chessboard, coldly exploiting and sacrificing anyone who stands in his way as he steadily expands his survival reserves amid constant danger.

When his shelter finally becomes the core of immunity to the rules of the Fog City, and his hoarded supplies are enough to monopolize the necessities of life, Xu Wei at last touches upon the terrifying source of the eternal-night fog and the uncanny revival. But what awaits him is not only the world's ultimate truth, but also betrayal and a struggle for power from his own blood relatives...

This is the twisted path of a madman in an apocalyptic world of despair, someone who trusts no warmth and respects only the "evil way." Through scheming and plunder, he advances step by step until he reaches the pinnacle of power.
