The Rebellion of the Eight Princes? I'm Becoming a Warlord on the Frontier

Transmigrate to the Western Jin dynasty and become a lowly county magistrate in a bitterly cold frontier region?

From the start, all I have is a cooking pot. As for development… I can’t rely on anyone else.

Above me are incompetent officials from powerful clans; below me, ambitious leaders of the northern tribes. The princes in the capital are itching for a fight, while the refined scholars chatter away, oblivious to the price of rice.

As someone who knows history, I know the peaceful days won’t last much longer. The War of the Eight Princes, the Uprising of the Five Barbarians… This land is about to be drenched in blood.

While others fight for power, I farm. While others flaunt their wealth, I train troops.

When the wheels of history come thundering toward us, bringing destruction in their wake, they’ll finally realize:

This “backwater” I’ve built into an impregnable fortress is the only sanctuary, and the only iron fist, in these apocalyptic times.
