The Story of Patriarch Subhuti’s Apotheosis

The Apotheosis of Patriarch Subhuti

In an age when the primordial world had just begun and countless paths vied for supremacy, Subhuti had yet to become the mysterious patriarch hidden away on Mount Lingtai Fangcun. He was merely an ordinary cultivator seeking the Great Dao among the masses. Gifted but never arrogant, he glimpsed a sliver of hope in the rhythms of chaos and set out alone on a thorny path to godhood.

He traveled through the perilous reaches of the primordial world, listening to Yuanshi preach at Kunlun Ruins, comprehending the Dao of the tides on the shores of the Eastern Sea, discussing the Dao with mighty demons in Xihe Niuzhou, and facing trials of life and death in the netherworld. Along the way, he witnessed the brutal struggle for supremacy among the three clans and the grandeur of Hongjun merging with the Dao. In one desperate situation after another, he grasped the true meaning of “emptiness” and “stillness,” creating a unique cultivation method that reconciled Buddhism and Daoism.

Unlike other mighty beings who chased fame and profit, Subhuti always stayed true to himself. With compassion, he guided all living beings; with wisdom, he resolved conflicts, quietly protecting the weak in a world in turmoil. He took no disciples, yet sowed countless seeds of kindness. He claimed no title, yet his name spread far and wide. At last, after enduring the cycle of the Heavenly Dao, he attained godhood on Mount Fangcun and became a mysterious sage who remained behind the scenes while shaping the fate of the primordial world, leaving countless legends for later generations.

Set against the grand world of the primordial era, this novel vividly portrays Patriarch Subhuti’s legendary journey from humble cultivator to god. It combines thrilling battles over the Great Dao with thought-provoking insights into cultivation, inviting you to experience the epic growth of a legendary sage.
