Ling Chen, Master of the Nine Heavens Sword, Seeks the Dao

Nine Heavens Swordmaster: Ling Chen’s Path to the Dao tells the story of Ling Chen, who once stood at the pinnacle of the Sword Domain, just one step away from becoming a Sword God. When he attempted to reach the Sword God realm, his close friend and Dao companion betrayed him. A remnant of his soul lingered within his sword, and five hundred years later, he awoke in the Myriad Sword Tomb. Though he had lost all his cultivation, his mastery of the sword, battle experience, and powerful soul remained.

After awakening, Ling Chen began his cultivation journey anew, starting by dealing with the bandits of Blackwind Stronghold. He saved the Lin siblings of Qingfeng City and helped them resolve their family crisis, intimidating the Li and Wang families and becoming the Lin family’s strongest support. He then joined the Flowing Cloud Sect as a menial disciple, quietly investigating the sect’s secrets. When the Prison-Suppressing Demon Sword in the forbidden grounds behind the mountain stirred, he unexpectedly put a stop to it, revealed his astonishing strength, and became a sect retainer.

To track down his old enemies, Zhao Tianlei and Su Mei, Ling Chen headed for the Eastern Domain. Along the way, he offended disciples of the Tianyan Sacred Sect, then encountered the mysterious young woman Su Muxue at a celebratory banquet on Tianyan Mountain. The aura she carried, so similar to Su Mei’s, aroused his suspicions. From Qingfeng City to the Flowing Cloud Sect and then to the Tianyan Sacred Sect in the Eastern Domain, Ling Chen gradually uncovers how the world has changed over the past five hundred years. As he pursues the truth and seeks revenge, he uses the sword in his hand to reclaim the pinnacle and continue his legend.
