Three hundred years ago, Eric the “Godslayer” severed the Creator God “Loxi's” divinity with a forbidden weapon, ending the gods' enslavement of humanity. But no one knew that Loxi's remnant soul had not vanished. Instead, it split into seven “stardust fragments,” each taking root inside a newborn of a different race.
Now, Karen Voss, a descendant of the Godslayer, is being consumed by the uncontrollable “Godslaying Power” within him. Each time he uses it, thorn-like patterns appear along his veins, and his consciousness is gradually devoured by Eric's obsession from three hundred years ago. Seeking a way to suppress the backlash, he ventures into the “Godfall Plains,” a forbidden zone, where he unexpectedly meets Ella Morningstar, who can sense the stardust fragments.
Ella's left eye conceals the most crucial stardust fragment. It allows her to hear the gods' whispers, but also makes her a target for every faction. The human kingdom wants to use her to resurrect Loxi and gain control of divine power. The elves consider her a “vessel of the gods” that corrupts nature. And the mysterious “Godguard Order” is determined to sacrifice her and reunite Loxi's remnant soul.
