On My First Day Back at the Marquis's Estate, I Burned the Fake Heiress to Death

As a child, someone smothered me until my brain was damaged, leaving me with an illness that made me believe whatever anyone told me. After more than ten years wandering the streets, I was recognized by the Shen family of Shangjing and brought home as the noble second young lady of the marquis's household. On my first day back, the fake heiress fell to her knees before me and swore she would give everything back to me, or die trying. I nodded. That night, I set a fire outside her door. The blaze burned to ashes all the gold and silver utensils, silks, and fine clothes that had originally belonged to me. My parents and brother were heartbroken, and that very night they planned to send me to prison. But her fiance, Yin Shining, who had loved her for seven years, stood in front of me and insisted on marrying me. My brother went to confront him with a knife. In the cold drizzle, Yin Shining clutched the fake heiress's belongings, his eyes bloodshot. “Rou is my life. I wish I could go down there and join her right now, but how can I let her killer die so easily?” “Marrying into the Yin family is only the beginning of her hell. I'll make her pay a thousandfold.” I picked at my ear and smiled knowingly. So he wanted to die for love. That was easy enough to arrange.
