Villain’s Lackey: The Demon King Told Me to Keep a Low Profile!

After going from the 996 grind to transmigrating, Gu Debai just wants to lie flat.

Good news: he's transmigrated.

Bad news: he's become a cannon-fodder little demon under the Demon King's command, and he's going to war tomorrow.

Good news: he's awakened the [Strongest Slacker System]!

As long as he slacks off, he gets a hundredfold boost! The more halfhearted he is, the stronger the effect! The harder he tries, the less he gets!

On the battlefield, everyone else fights hard while Gu Debai loafs around and casually tosses a rock.

[Ding! Slacking behavior successfully detected! Power boosted ten thousandfold!]

The rock turns into a meteor shower of fire, instantly wiping out the enemy.

The Demon King: "??? Where did this fierce warrior come from?"

While others carefully gather intelligence, Gu Debai sprawls on a rooftop and sleeps.

[Ding! Slacking behavior successfully detected! You have acquired the skill "Dreamland Wanderer"!]

In his dreams, he hears every secret about the enemy leader's ancestors going back eighteen generations.

The Demon King: "??? He's a born master spy!"

From then on, Gu Debai never looks back on the path of slacking off.

The more he wants to get fired, the higher his position climbs. The more he wants to be a good-for-nothing, the greater his achievements become.

Finally, the army of the righteous alliance reaches the gates, and the "Chosen One," brimming with protagonist aura, cleaves open the Demon King's main hall with a single sword stroke.

Gu Debai is yawning as he gets ready to clock out and casually waves away a fly.

The "Chosen One" and his sword turn into a shooting star streaking across the horizon.

The Demon King looks at the harmless-seeming Gu Debai beside his throne and trembles, finally begging, "Big brother, I'm begging you, could you try to keep a lower profile? Why don't you take over as Demon King?"
