Asking the Green Cliff [Xiao Yan X Wen Kexing]

Introduction This is a crossover fanfic based on the world of Battle Through the Heavens, written to pair characters together. The plot includes original developments inspired by my own imagination. Xiao Yan is based on both the novel version and the drama version. Battle Through the Heavens was the first long novel I read, and I also thought Wu Lei looked great in the role. I won’t comment on the drama’s plot… Wen Kexing is based on the drama version. He’s so beautiful, after all, he’s practically Nuwa’s final project. This is not a transmigration story. I’ve put him in Xiao Yi Xian’s place, since this is a pairing fic. If that’s not your thing, don’t read. I’ll do my best to keep the characters in character. Everyone from Ghost Valley is present, and Ghost Valley is one of the major factions. This was created for my own amusement after I became unable to resist Gong Jun’s good looks in Word of Honor. I absolutely love pairing characters together. Since the first novel I read as a child was Battle Through the Heavens, and its plot left a deep impression on me, Xiao Yan’s story follows the novel version. Wu Lei’s portrayal of Yan could work too, though. Wen Kexing is entirely based on the drama version. I haven’t read A Tale of the Wanderers. The plot is slow to get going. I’ll try to keep the characters in character, but there will be some original plot elements. If that’s not your thing, don’t read.
