A Guest in the Lotus Tower, in the Heavenly Emperor’s Heart

Li Lianhua picked up a beautiful amnesiac.

The beauty, named A Yu, was sweet and clingy, though not very bright. He was always looking at Li Lianhua as if he were a shard of broken porcelain.

Still, he was quite useful. Whenever danger struck, he instinctively shielded Li Lianhua, and sometimes he even served as a hand warmer, easing the chill of the Bicha poison in his body.

Li Lianhua was quite pleased, feeling that picking up this “burden” had been well worth it.

He taught him to eat, took him along to practice medicine, and thought they could travel the jianghu together until the end of their days.

Then his enemies came for him, leaving him gravely wounded and on the verge of death.

The A Yu who had always hidden behind him opened his eyes amid a sky full of murderous intent. His gaze was cold, as if it had looked down on the ages.

“Anyone who harms him will have their soul annihilated.”

In the next instant, the Heavenly Emperor's divine power awakened and space tore apart. Against Li Lianhua's wishes, he forcibly abducted him to the Ninth Heaven.

From then on, all six realms knew that the lonely Heavenly Emperor, alone for ten thousand years, now had a mortal sword immortal by his side.

The Heavenly Emperor reshaped the order of the world for him, cleared the path to immortality for him, and laid the finest things in existence at his feet.

But Li Lianhua simply wiped down the sword in his hand and smiled at the possessive sovereign:

“Runyu, your celestial realm may be lovely, but it can't beat the freedom of my Lotus Tower.”

With a mortal body, he forged an invincible path of the sword in this realm of gods!
