The Pavilion of the Hanging Mirror

I was born with a yin fate, doomed to die before I turned twenty.

To prolong my life, I joined the Xuanjing Pavilion, a sect of the mystic arts, and mastered fortune-telling, ghost-hunting, corpse retrieval, and talisman-drawing.

I thought that by walking between the worlds of yin and yang, I was fighting fate itself.

That was until the ancient mirror that held a century-old female ghost told me:

“You were never born with a yin fate…”

“You are the true master of this mirror.”

From then on, every eerie standalone tale became a fragment in the puzzle of my past.

Why did an incorruptible corpse dredged from the Yellow River carry my birth details?

Why did the life-taking curse on a wealthy family’s ancestral home point to a childhood I could barely remember?

When I took command of the Xuanjing Pavilion, I thought I was exposing demons and vanquishing evil.

Only later did I understand that what I had seen was my own past, completely rewritten, and a bloody truth about the order of heaven and earth.
