The Hunter's Frail, Bookish Son

At the foot of Black Wind Mountain lives the Lin family of hunters, a fearless clan with ancestral tiger-hunting skills! The eldest, Lin Dahu, can kill a wild boar with one punch. The second, Lin Erxiong, can tear a leopard apart with his bare hands. And the third, Lin Qingquan? Alas… He has a face like fine jade and a willowy frame, too weak to carry anything on his shoulders or lift it in his hands! Hunting? One gust of the fierce mountain wind and he’s already shaking with fear! Climbing? His legs turn to jelly just looking at a steep cliff!

Watching their third son become the village’s “prettiest good-for-nothing,” his tough-as-nails mother wipes away her tears and makes the call: “Quan’er! You can’t even hold a hunting knife steady, and you can’t outrun a pheasant. Forget it! Go study! Not a single scholar has come from our family in eight generations. Go earn a title and bring honor to the family!”

Lin Qingquan: (⊙﹏⊙) ??? Transmigrated into a sickly beauty surrounded by a family of brawny hunters? Too timid to hunt or climb mountains? Fine… I’ll just (reluctantly) earn an official title as a means of protection. Who would have thought he’d rise all the way from licentiate to provincial graduate to metropolitan graduate and beyond! Along the way, he uses a little modern knowledge to quietly lead his burly family to wealth, turning a household of hunters into a distinguished family of scholars!

Watch as this frail scholar carves out a formidable path to success, surrounded by tough men and relying on his brains and brush!
