Doomsday: The Fifth Kind

A virus suddenly swept across the world. Those infected became monsters that ate human flesh. With no will of their own, they attacked anyone they saw, like crazed beasts. Humanity called them the Second Kind: zombies. After huge numbers of people were infected, humanity's survival hung by a thread. Fortunately, the military developed a superhuman serum. Those who took it gained extraordinary strength, becoming the Third Kind: ability users. A soldier was bitten by a zombie while on a mission and infected with the virus. By chance, he also ate a bat's flesh, and his body suddenly mutated. He did not become a zombie or lose his human consciousness, but he now needed human blood to survive. These creatures were vicious, constantly drinking blood to strengthen themselves as they plotted to replace humanity as Earth's rulers. They became the Fourth Kind: the Blood Clan. Luo Ping'an was bitten by a member of the Blood Clan. He did not become one of them, but his body mutated, and another consciousness emerged within him, making him the only Fifth Kind in the world. Luo Ping'an is neither Blood Clan nor zombie, neither ability user nor human. He has become an outcast, isolated by the world.
