Synopsis

In the beginning, the universe was a formless, chaotic void, without clarity or murkiness, yin or yang. Only the “Primordial Breath” existed. Silent and still, it responded when stirred. It had no visible form or discernible shape, yet it was the source of heaven, earth, and all things. Thus the opening of Liezi: The Book of Tianrui says: “That which has form is born from that which has no form. From what, then, could heaven and earth have arisen? It is said that there was the Great Change, the Great Beginning, the Great Origin, and the Great Substance. In the Great Change, qi had not yet appeared; the Great Beginning was the start of qi; the Great Origin was the beginning of form; and the Great Substance was the beginning of matter.” The meaning is clear: before heaven and earth came into being, qi already existed. The Great Beginning was the birth of qi; afterward, qi gathered into form, and form congealed into matter. Only then did mountains, rivers, plants, trees, the sun, the moon, and stars come into existence. When Pangu emerged to fulfill his destiny, he wielded a mighty axe to cleave the chaos and open heaven and earth. The Primordial Breath then burst forth like a river breaking its banks and divided: the light, clear yang rose gently to form the vault of heaven, where the radiance of the sun and moon and the spirit of wind and clouds dwell; the heavy, turbid yin sank to form the solid earth, holding the essence of mountains and rivers. Once heaven and earth stood apart, yin and yang were divided. The two qi interacted day and night like a man and a woman joining together, giving rise to the qi of the Five Phases: Wood, Fire, Earth, Metal, and Water. The Five Phases cycled through the sequence of growth, flourishing, transformation, harvesting, and storing, giving birth in turn to the five atmospheric forces: wind, clouds, thunder, rain, and mist. Thus qi flows ceaselessly through heaven and earth like blood through the veins, nourishing the growth of all things. The Huainanzi, in its “Treatise on Astronomy,” also says: “Before heaven and earth took shape, all was swirling and surging, vast and obscure; this was called the Great Brightness. The Way began in the empty expanse; the empty expanse gave birth to the universe; the universe gave birth to qi. Qi had its bounds: the light, clear substance spread thinly to form heaven, while the heavy, turbid substance congealed and settled to form earth.” This describes the true workings of qi as it evolves into heaven and earth, and is the foundation on which the art of cultivating qi is based.

Looking for Books About Genuine Taoist Priests, Written by Authors Who Really Know Their Classics and the Basics of the Different Schools

Looking for books like Traditional Martial Arts: Slacking Off Back in the Village? I’ll Train and Become a Martial Arts Saint. I want something written by an author who’s genuinely well-read in Daoist classics and knows their stuff. Don’t recommend anything written by someone who hasn’t done their homework. The protagonist shouldn’t be too young and should be mature-minded. If they’re too young and immature, I’m not interested...

Again, if you can learn Taoism and Dharma from the book, the streets will be full of great Luo Immortals. Don't make the mistake of yourself. Wouldn't it be nice to have more time to hone your character?

This book is the most easy-to-understand book I have ever seen. It explains everything from Qi training to elixir formation from the simplest to the deeper. It can be said that a senior officer can get it, but it can rejuvenate one's youth. The sergeant knows that it can also prolong life, and a corporal can get it, and it can also cure diseases and strengthen the body.

This is the first time I came across a book on spiritual cultivation that is still being serialized [Shocked]

The first part is very complicated and has a bit of a mystical feeling, but when you turn to the foundation building, and the chapters on cultivating immortality and physical training, you will find that this is a combination of modern science and ancient Taoist cultivation methods, and a scientific explanation of ancient cultivation of immortality and Qi. This is not the kind of secret book for cultivating immortals in fantasy novels that we imagined, which cannot lead to immortality. This is a secret book for Qi training and fitness that combines ancient and modern times. But forget about immortality.

It's so detailed, but it's better to find a master to practice with you. There are some things you can't correct by practicing on your own.
