System: From the Start, Taking the Empress as My Disciple!

Synopsis of From the Start, the System Takes an Empress as Its Disciple

Ye Yang, a good-for-nothing Qi Refining peak master, faces the ultimate crisis: “Take no disciples and you're out!” To make matters worse, his System gives him an ironclad order: he must take an emperor as his disciple!

At the Tianyi Sect's disciple recruitment ceremony, everyone mocks him: “A Qi Refiner thinks he's fit to be a master?” He offers all his resources, but no one shows any interest. Just as all hope seems lost, the white-clad girl Feng Wu takes first place in the trials and rings the Heavenly Bell nine times. She ignores the sect master's promise that she can become a Profound King after three years on his Sword Peak, ignores the rival peaks fighting to recruit her, and walks straight up to Ye Yang. “This disciple wishes to join Qingxuan Peak.”

The crowd erupts in astonishment, but Ye Yang is overjoyed the instant she bows to him. [Feng Wu detected. (Reincarnation of the Feng Wu Empress.) Invincible Disciple Recruitment System activated!]

He thinks he's landed himself a “tool” to activate the System, but he has no idea that the girl is hiding a thousand years of careful scheming. She is an empress from three thousand years ago, reincarnated to cultivate anew after the collapse of the Jing era. She chose this good-for-nothing master only to quietly seize resources and restore her foundations, planning to kick him aside once she reaches the summit again.

But after the System activates, everything takes an unexpected turn. Ye Yang casually offers her some pointers, and somehow repairs her damaged soul. When he says, “Don't touch that,” she suppresses the urge to destroy the world. When someone calls him “trash,” the empress, cold and aloof just a moment earlier, draws her sword and slaughters their entire clan.

“Master, you promised to teach me how to cultivate anew, so you can't go back on your word.” Feng Wu stands atop a mountain of corpses, the Emperor's Sword in hand. Her white robes are drenched in blood, yet she smiles sweetly at Ye Yang. “Anyone who dares stand against you and me is my enemy. I'll flatten the entire cultivation world for you.”
