The swallowing setting is real and not suspended, and it feels refreshing and heart-wrenching! When Lin Mo swallowed a zombie for the first time, he didn't gain power easily. Instead, he was stimulated by the rancid smell to the point of retching. After swallowing, he had to bear the negative impact on the soul level. When Lin Mo swallowed the corrosive liquid from the vomiter, it hurt so much that he curled up on the ground, but he was able to save his teammates with [moderate acid resistance]. There is no senseless coolness. Every time he "gets stronger" there is a struggle, which is particularly contagious.
Lin Mo's growth line is quite immersive! From the fear when he was first reborn, to the resistance when swallowing zombies, to actively swallowing corrosive liquid to save his teammates, to warning the laser trap to protect the team, he did not suddenly become brave, but in the desperate situation of "either swallowing or dying", he slowly accepted his "Gourmet" identity. This "forced growth" trajectory is more difficult for ordinary people than the naturally strong.
The description of swallowing is so touching! When Lin Mo swallowed the zombie, he was not stuffy, he was retching due to the rancid smell, and had to endure the soul shock after swallowing it. When he ate the corrosive liquid from the vomiter, he rolled on the ground in pain, but he relied on the pain to gain resistance to the acid and saved his teammates. This kind of rhythm of "being cool while being tortured, and becoming stronger after being tortured" is a hundred times more exciting than mindless cool writing.
