The Haunted Tomb: Tomb of Origins

The owner of Zhenyuan Studio in Luoyang, Gu Yunpeng, had been living a quiet life until a strange fragment of a human-skin map and a cursed bronze gui vessel from the Shang and Zhou dynasties dragged him into a mystery spanning a thousand years. His ancestral warning reads, “When the map appears, nine tombs open, and the underworld stirs.” To save his closest friend, he has no choice but to defy his ancestors’ command and venture into danger. Together with Mo Yu, a member of Bureau 749, his friend Pangtou, and others, Gu journeys from the abandoned mausoleums of Cao Wei to a mysterious coffin in the Luo River, from the Eastern Sea’s Guixu to the phantom peaks of Kunlun. They face corpse kings, bizarre creatures, and cult forces. Through one life-and-death trial after another, they discover that the nine tombs conceal no treasure hunt, but an apocalyptic crisis involving “leaks in the Source Sea” and “chaos corruption.” The scheme laid out over a lifetime by their ancestor Gu Feng was, astonishingly, meant to “mend the heavens.” When the final “Realm Between Reincarnations” opens, what awaits them is neither wealth nor immortality, but an ultimate choice that will determine the fate of all things. The story begins at the boundary between reality and myth: destruction or rebirth? The answer lies at the end of this journey.
