The Aloof Prince Throws a Tantrum

The cold-faced Prince Xia Changyuan rescues Ling'er, a girl transformed from a snow spirit, and brings her into the imperial palace, where he protects her in every way. But his protection becomes too much for her, as she longs for freedom. When Ling'er leaves resolutely, Xia Changyuan turns into a demon for love and bathes the imperial city in blood, finally threatening to take his own life to make her turn back. Together, they break free from the shackles of convention. After he ascends the throne, he leaves the six palaces empty and devotes himself solely to the Snow Saint, fulfilling their legendary vow: "May snow always grace the emperor's side, and may we share the realm until our hair turns white."
