The Divine Doctor Son-in-Law Is a Max-Level Powerhouse

On the surface:

Yun Wuya, the greatest physician in the martial world, is a sharp-tongued, money-loving troublemaker with zero combat ability. Ye Zhiqiu, a top bodyguard, spends every day either fighting on his behalf or being driven up the wall by him. Her ledger is full of records of his reckless antics, and all she wants is to finish this thankless bodyguard assignment as soon as possible.

The truth:

Yun Wuya was once the ace of an assassin organization, and his martial prowess is the greatest in the world. He only pretends to be weak because it makes it easier to swindle people... er, to enjoy the simple pleasures of life. That is, until the mystery of Ye Zhiqiu’s origins rocks the martial world and over a hundred experts arrive to surround and kill them. She steps in front of him, blade raised, ready to protect him with her life. He gently pushes her blade aside and sighs. “Enough. I can’t keep up this act anymore.” With a single silver needle, he turns the tide. The max-level powerhouse is forced to get to work.

Her mission changes from “protect this useless guy” to “keep this lunatic from bringing the heavens crashing down.”
