Synopsis:

The tyrant Jie of Xia indulges in wine pools and forests of meat, while his people are worse off than the dead. But Shang Tang, chief of the Shang tribe, becomes famous for the "foolish act" of leaving one side of a hunting net open, giving animals a chance to escape. This unexpected move attracts the culinary genius and chancellor Yi Yin and the god of war Zhong Hui, who join forces with him. Even Jie's favorite consort becomes a secret pawn.
