[Synopsis]
Su Nian, 22, is an ordinary new hire with a bachelor's degree from a second-tier university, working as an administrative assistant at Xingyao Technology. Gentle and introverted, she's always a beat behind when taking meeting minutes, the most forgettable person in her department.
No one knows...
Her true identity is the Great Emperor of Beiyin Fengdu, awakened after a thousand years of slumber.
She takes meeting minutes with a Judge's Brush and checks project timelines against the Book of Life and Death.
The potted plant in the break room is part of her wealth-attracting formation, and a warding talisman is tucked beneath her desk.
When her coworkers are tearing their hair out over the “Ghost Press” project, she casually scatters soul-soothing water to send the spirits on their way;
when a rival company hires a sorcerer from Nanyang, he sees the image of Fengdu manifest behind her and converts on the spot;
when the whole company moves to a CBD built on the former site of a mass grave, she lays down a Ninefold Netherworld Peace-at-Home formation with a cup of coffee.
Until one day, the company founder receives an anonymous report:
“Recommendations on Incorporating Feng Shui into Corporate Risk Management and Optimizing KPI Assessments in the Underworld”
At that moment, Su Nian is sucking on a milk tea straw as she posts an update to an anonymous forum:
“An Underworld Big Shot's Workplace Tips: How to Use Qi-Reading to Spot a Blame Shifter”
Each post gets over 100,000 views, setting the whole company ablaze.
No romance, all career focus. See how an underworld big shot uses the supernatural to whip the workplace into shape and outwork mere mortals with divine power.
