Spirit Ferry: KO One

Introduction to KO One: Soul Ferry

After a thousand years of entanglements, Zhao Li, a ferryman of the underworld, finally gets his soul back where it belongs. But the instant it merges with his body, a mysterious rift in space and time pulls him into Ba Le High School in the Golden Dimension. Stripped of his magical tools, including his iPhone and soul gun, he stumbles into KO One, a class packed with top fighters, and comes face-to-face with a lively bunch of supernatural ability users.

There is Wang Da Dong, a hot-blooded, impulsive leader; Rex, calm and clever, with extraordinary fighting skills; Ding Xiao Yu, quiet and reserved, yet hiding immense strength; and Hua Ling Long, vain but full of passion. These teenagers use their “combat power index” to measure strength, and protect the Golden Dimension with their fiery spirit. Their vivid “breath of life” is the complete opposite of the cold, gloomy underworld where Zhao Li has spent a thousand years.

New to this world, Zhao Li uses his special abilities as a ferryman to secretly help Ding Xiao Yu drive away a clingy earthbound spirit and ease Hua Ling Long’s distress over being judged by his looks. Little by little, he becomes part of KO One. Yet beneath the calm, undercurrents are gathering. Hei Long, an evil supernatural ability user sealed away for twenty years, breaks free and uses his soul-devouring art to prey on top fighters on the KO List, creating bizarre “no-body” cases. He plans to devour the souls and life force of ability users and rule the Golden Dimension.

To stop Hei Long’s plot and find a way back to his original world, Zhao Li joins forces with the teenagers of KO One and ventures into the ruins of the Martial Arts Tribunal to uncover the truth. From breaking Hei Long’s evil seals, to facing supernatural ability users transformed into demons, and finally confronting Hei Long in a fight to the death, Zhao Li will bring the soul power of a thousand-year ferryman together with the teenagers’ supernatural abilities
