Echoes in the Concrete Jungle

In the urban jungle of steel and concrete, ambition is the only ticket in. Zhao Lei, a construction company owner who clawed his way up from the bottom, is convinced he can build his own legend in the city of Binhai, one load of concrete at a time. But when he stakes everything he owns on the controversial West City Redevelopment Project, he discovers that the road ahead is riddled with traps of power, the depths of human nature, and the suspicions of former brothers-in-arms. To survive and hold on to his ideals, Zhao Lei is forced to navigate the gray area between black and white. This is a story about how individual will collides with cold reality amid the tides of the times, and asks just how much friendship, courage, and one's original ideals are worth on the road to success.
