Lungs of Rust

Jiang Jinzhao, a dazed and aimless truck driver, dies in a fatal crash, only to wake up in a rental apartment from ten years ago. The world is no longer as he remembers it. Cities have become wasteland, and society has regressed into a brutal jungle divided into tribes. In a rash attempt to protect a lonely, helpless old woman, he tells an enormous lie: “She's my mother.” That lie becomes both his only armor and his heaviest chain. In this world of collapsed order, where loyalty and betrayal are intertwined, Jiang Jinzhao, an ordinary man who's slow-witted and good at nothing, must use his unfamiliar hands and ever-growing web of lies to set the gears of survival in motion. He must face not only vicious enemies from outside, but also the cold rules within the tribe. This is a story about how an insignificant man struggles to survive in a rusted world for the sake of one lie, and ultimately tries to create a miracle.
