Drawing the Sword in Republican-Era China: Starting by Dominating Shanghai!

Just after transmigrating to Shanghai in 1930, Zhou Ye faces a choice: become a lackey for the Japanese, or be tossed into the river by the Green Gang. He chooses a third option: take them all down!

“Ding! The Host's intense patriotism has been detected. The [King of War System] has activated!”

“Mission issued: punish Japanese ronin. Reward: 100 Merit Points!”

After Zhou Ye uses the combat skills rewarded by the System to knock down more than a dozen ronin, he realizes this System is seriously powerful!

“Spend 1,000 Merit Points to summon 10 fully armed modern special forces soldiers!”

And so, the Green Gang's style begins to change.

While other gangs are fighting bloody turf wars, Zhou Ye's men are undergoing brutal military training.

While Mr. Du is still holding forth at banquets, Zhou Ye has already led a well-equipped “Green Gang Action Squad” to wipe out a Japanese secret stronghold.

“Zhou Ye's gone mad! That's no gang headquarters, it's a damn military camp!”

“Mr. Du, you have to do something! Lord Zhou's men are fiercer than the regular army!”

When war breaks out and the invaders set foot on Shanghai's soil, waiting for them is an ironclad force made up of tens of thousands of Green Gang members, along with a mysterious unit that appears and disappears without a trace and never misses a shot.

Standing on the roof of Sihang Warehouse, Zhou Ye watches the enemy troops retreat in disarray and sneers. “Tell your emperor this: I, Zhou Ye, call the shots in Shanghai! And China is a forbidden land you will never set foot in!”
