The Dragon’s Strange Tales

My name is Sun Kai, and I’m an ordinary food-delivery rider.

That was until I accepted an order for milk tea addressed to “Grotto Road No. 1, Basement Level 3.” The delivery instructions read: “Leave it at the entrance, knock three times, and don’t look back.”

The ghostly pale hand that reached out from inside the cave changed my life forever.

From then on, my delivery route became a road to the underworld:

By the Ling Mountain River, “customers” dressed in ancient robes paid with ghost money;

In the hospital morgue, someone repeatedly called for painkillers at three in the morning;

On a desolate patch of land on a rainy night, a paper-crafted sports car lit up its headlights for me...

The eerie history of Longyou, spanning thousands of years, is being awakened one by one by the wheels of my electric bike.

And I’m beginning to realize that every one of these strange events leads back to the same place: the thousand-year-old mystery of the Longyou Caves.

Every food delivery I make is nudging the terrifying entity sleeping underground closer and closer to waking.
