Benevolence in a Silver Needle: The Misunderstood Doctor

Lin Xinyi, a renowned traditional Chinese medicine practitioner in Tianhua City, has mastered the long-lost “Nine-Turn Silver Needle Resurrection Technique.” But because she only treats the rich, the public misunderstands her as a “crooked doctor.” In truth, Lin Xinyi is kind-hearted: she uses every consultation fee she earns from the wealthy to support poor patients and charities. Chen Zhiyuan, an overseas biotech tycoon, comes to her hoping she can use traditional Chinese medicine to treat his wife, Li Meina, who has systemic lupus erythematosus. He offers a priceless white jade Guanyin pendant as payment. Just as Lin Xinyi is preparing the herbs, her mother, Zhao Yulan, and her eight-year-old son, Lin Xiaoxuan, are bullied by Li Meina at the intersection of Huating Street and Shijie Street.
