The End of the Track

This story focuses on the men’s 110-meter hurdles, a track and field event that perfectly combines technique and explosive power. Competition on the international stage is fierce: Western athletes have dominated for years, while Asian competitors are often treated as mere “also-rans.” The story explores the daily training of professional athletes, injuries, the battle for commercial sponsorships, and real-world issues such as racial prejudice at international events and suspicions of doping.
