Reborn in 1977: My Hunter Husband and Daughter

Song Yang, a renowned medical pioneer, led a brilliant life, but died suddenly with regrets over neglecting his wife and beloved daughter. When he opened his eyes again, he had returned to 1977, standing at a crossroads with his university admission letter in hand.

The tragedy of his previous life began when he left. This time, he resolutely gave up his promising future and settled in Jiangshui Village, deep in the Xing’an Mountains of Northeast China. Facing his guilt-ridden hunter wife, Xiaohui, and their malnourished daughter, Song Yang vowed to make it all up to them with his own hands.

From setting snares with a woodcutter’s knife to shouldering a hunting rifle, from chasing pheasants and rabbits to battling bears and boar kings, he drew on his knowledge and integrity from his previous life. He traded his admission letter for his first nest egg, then ventured into the vast forests and snowy wilderness with a rifle in each hand.

But the dangers of the mountains and forests were far greater than he had imagined. A jealous educated youth, a greedy local bully, and ruthless gangs of poachers appeared one after another. Song Yang had to battle not only nature and beasts, but other people as well! Through one deadly clash and political struggle after another, he protected his home, earned respect, and became the undisputed “Hunting King of the Xing’an Mountains.”

This is a man’s legendary life, written with courage and a deep sense of responsibility; a simple love story that begins with marriage in a turbulent era; and a sweeping portrait of Northeast China’s mountain-hunting culture.

See how Song Yang shakes the mountains with his rifle, protects the woman he loves, and writes a stirring tale of a passionate life amid these vast forests and rivers!
