Chapter Outline

Chapter 1: The Valley’s Young Master Comes to the City

Long Aotian, young master of the secluded Glutton Valley, hidden from the world for a hundred years, sets off for the bustling city with a pack on his back to complete his succession trial: “taste every flavor in the world.” On his first day, he comes across a dispute over a dine-and-dash. The noodle shop owner tearfully explains that a burly man ate him out of business. Long Aotian steps in and offers to “earn back the owner’s losses,” then downs fifty bowls of beef noodles on the spot. The stunned onlookers record him and upload the video. By chance, the clip is seen by the organizers of a local competitive eating contest, who invite him to take part in a challenge.

Chapter 2: Making a Name for Himself in the Street Challenge

With the aim of “experiencing every flavor,” Long Aotian enters a street challenge against “Instant Noodle Bro,” a three-time champion famous for eating thirty cups of instant noodles in ten minutes. During the contest, Instant Noodle Bro relies on emetics to keep going, while Long Aotian uses the “Food Qi Method” to effortlessly devour one hundred servings of instant noodles, broth and all. He even accurately identifies the seasoning differences between each serving. The judges are stunned, but suspect him of cheating because “no normal person eats that fast.” Only after the audience protests do they reluctantly let him advance.
