The Grave Robbers' Chronicles: Twin Swords Guard the Qilin

Synopsis of The Grave Robbers' Chronicles: Twin Swords Guard the Qilin A reunion by Hangzhou's West Lake shatters Wu Xie and Wang Pangzi's assumptions about tomb-robbing. Zhang Qiling has two unusual companions by his side: the aloof Qin Moyu, dressed in a black outfit patterned with subtle designs and carrying an ancient silver-and-gold sword at his waist, and a four-year-old boy, Qin Nianlin, wearing a miniature version of the same outfit. Zhang Qiling holds the child's hand, while the boy clutches a sword tassel. No one knows that the arrival of this father and son hides a secret linking two great families across a century. Qin Moyu is the young clan leader and direct heir of the ancient Qin family. His mother is the younger sister of Zhang Qiling's father. The two were betrothed in childhood, and at the Zhang family's ancestral grounds, the Xuanlin Platform, a blood-moon omen and a ritual joining their swords' bloodlines triggered the Qin family's Spirit-Bearing Curse. Thus Nianlin was born, inheriting both the Xuanlin and Qilin bloodlines. With his Xuanlin bloodline, Qin Moyu can control the yin energy of ancient tombs. His combat ability even surpasses Zhang Qiling's by a small margin. His silver-and-gold ancient sword and Zhang Qiling's black-and-gold ancient blade are natural counterparts, and when drawn together, they can break the seals of a hundred tombs. But an ambush targeting the Qin family's secret treasure, the Xuanlin Jade, forced Qin Moyu to activate his bloodline to protect the treasure and his young son. In the end, he lost his memory, forgetting everything in the world except that he had to keep Nianlin safe. To help him recover his memories and find the enemy responsible, Zhang Qiling takes the father and son back into the world of tomb-robbing, joining Wu Xie's team to explore the underwater tomb in Xisha and investigate the divine tree in the Qinling Mountains. Deep in the tomb passages, Qin Moyu often loses himself staring at stone walls carved with twin-sword patterns. Whenever his silver-and-gold ancient sword touches the black-and-gold ancient blade, their hum sends scattered fragments flashing through his mind. Nianlin's soft, sweet calls of “Daddy” are the only light in his muddled memories. Just as the zongzi roared and lunged at them
