Wind Chaser: From Traffic Jams to the Racetrack

Beneath an overpass during the evening rush, delivery rider Qing Xiaoguo’s electric scooter scraped against a pickup truck carrying horse feed. Their encounter, full of honking horns and angry arguments, brought him together with Ma Xiaoya, an equestrian veterinarian, thanks to his talent for “enhanced dynamic vision.” He had no idea then that his instinct for precisely judging gaps in traffic would one day become his secret weapon for mastering speed on horseback.

From part-time stable hand to professional rider, from a last-minute comeback in the city league to life-or-death showdowns on the national circuit, Qing Xiaoguo and Lightning repeatedly broke through every obstacle: malicious collisions on the track, drug tampering behind the scenes, and slander in the media could not stop him from charging toward the finish line.

Ma Xiaoya remained his strongest support. Her veterinary syringes were every bit as powerful as his reins, and together they protected the critically ill horse through the stormy night...
