Shh, the Demoness Is Playing Her Wooden Fish Again

The day the ten-thousand-year-old demon breaks free is the day the thieving little nun’s plan goes awry.

A strange bolt of heavenly lightning strikes. The peerless Demon Venerable Zhancang awakens to find himself in the body of a frail little novice nun with a gleaming bald head. Meanwhile, Miaoyan, a lazybones from a ruined temple, opens her eyes to find herself in the Demon Venerable’s body, complete with eight-pack abs and power to destroy the world.

From then on, the cultivation world goes completely off the rails.

The Demon Venerable tries to summon a mass of demonic fire to intimidate the world, but what comes out is “Om mani padme hum,” and a tiny, adorably ferocious Buddhist flame pops from his palm. When the little nun encounters an enemy, she instinctively joins her palms and recites a prayer for mercy. But the moment she strikes, she “delivers” her opponent, body and soul, until not a trace remains.

The righteous and demonic factions are left deep in thought:

“Why does this demon smash people’s golden cores while reciting Buddhist scriptures?”

“Why does this little nun look so compassionate while committing a massacre?”

Zhancang, speaking in a high-pitched voice: “I... Amitabha. I only want to save all living beings.”

Miaoyan, speaking in a gruff voice: “Benefactor, Buddha is merciful... What did you say just now? You want to fight?”

When a plot threatening all three realms quietly comes to light, this pair of bickering enemies, forced to fight side by side in the most absurd way, finally realize their body swap wasn’t an accident... And the way to save the world may be even more bizarre than switching bodies.
