The Ghost Landlord's Obsession and Almond Pastries

Jiang Wantang, a freelance photographer, rents an old Republic-era house for just 1,500 a month.

The ghost of its owner, Lu Jingyan, has been bound by an unfulfilled obsession for a hundred years. He appears at dusk to demand 3,000 in rent.

Trapped in the haunted old house, she is bound by its rules and can barely move an inch.

By chance, she gains the power to channel the warmth of her body into lingering obsessions, allowing her to touch things the dead cannot.

Only she can read letters and pass on warmth, letting a spirit stranded for a century speak with his mother.

Others see a haunted house; she protects it as her home. While everyone else avoids it, she lights the stove and cooks there every day.

When the truth comes to light, she will use the warmth of the living to lay old obsessions to rest and bring peace to the whole city.
