Mr. Gu, Your Drama Queen Is Here

On the day she broke up with her boyfriend, Zhu Kaixin sat down to hot pot and made a vow: focus on making money and stay happily single. Who knew an elevator malfunction would lead her to launch into a full stand-up routine at a handsome stranger, accidentally “acting” her way into the role of CEO Gu Shian’s contract girlfriend?

From then on, she joined family dinners, battled the other woman, and tore into her ex. Her acting skills were off the charts, and she raked in performance bonuses. But the client’s gaze kept growing stranger. They’d agreed it was just physical, so why was he hauling in a whole vat of jealousy?

Even more absurdly, the down-on-his-luck beauty she casually rescued turned out to be a powerful underworld figure, who chased after her with a truckload of cash, calling her his savior…

When the contract was exposed and public opinion erupted, Zhu Kaixin calmly went live. “Everyone, I’m just an acting machine.” But Gu Shian pinned her against the wall, his voice low and husky. “The performance is over. Now it’s time to pay the deposit on your ‘lifetime contract.’”

Wait, did someone hand me the wrong script? What happened to staying happily single?!
